Black on White
Newborns can't distinguish tones much, which is why they're enraptured with black and white images. As I mentioned before, Evangeline couldn't take her eyes off our black and white wallpaper for the first months of her life. She's now graduated to high-contrast color board books. Because I don't know whether I will decorate our next place in b&w, I think we may invest in this board book or these flashcards before the second mini-Miller arrives.

Huh. How do they KNOW all that? I am a little envious of you new moms having so much information at your fingertips. The benefits of knowing that certain behaviors are not normal are immense! The only problem I can see with it is that it might give more cause for worry. Looking back now, I think the only thing I wish I had known was about the risks of vaccinations and alternatives to antibiotics when the kids were little. And I SO would have homeschooled from the beginning!
I love you guys. Can't WAIT until June!
