Mr. Miller introduced me to this song yesterday, and I can't stop being moved by it (even in spite of Michael W. Smith's mullet). Praise be to the Lord for his secret ambition that began before time!

I've heard that tune many times but never knew what the words were-- thanks for sharing the video
ah yes, i too am a fan of old school michael w. smith music - and that song is an old fav! (despite the mildly disturbing vest and tapered jeans...)
my mom sent me your blog site and i thought i'd check it out. you two are too cute! i loved the mws tune, i haven't heard that in many moons. that song used to be one of my favs, but i had never seen the video! what a revolutionary GOD we serve! i hope that we continue to question the status quo and are not lulled to sleep by the everydayness (is that a word?) of life. thanks for sharing your thoughts. hope you both are well!
I heard that song not long ago, and really listened to the words. It struck me then that Jesus was misunderstood then and He continues to be now! The more I learn about God's love and the sacrifice He made for me to be able to live an abundant grace-filled, peaceful, joyful life, the more precious He becomes and the more I desire to live that life He sacrificed to give me. Thanks for sharing the video--so what was wrong with the outfit?? (just kidding!)
MWS is old school?????
I love that song, but had never seen the music video for it. Thanks for sharing! :)
no heather, MWS himself isn't necessarily old school. granted, he has been around since the dawn of contemporary christian music... but it was the song, the style, the clothes, even his "dance moves" that i was classifying as "old school." definitely 80s stuff. and since the 80s pretty much gave me life and that's about all i remember, well that is "old school" in my book. :)
I, too, love that song, but I've never seen the video. It's really powerful! And it's a good reminder of how Christ broke all the stereotypes because he was serving a Higher Power.
On a lighter note, the ancient crowds have mullets and "big hair," too. Haha. Gotta love the 80's. :)
