Whether or not you follow the presidential primaries with the fastidious attention of a politico, you can't have missed the message of change in which we can hope proclaimed by at least one campaign. And, the assurance that this message is more than "just words."
Today is Easter. A day Christians celebrate ultimate, foundational, wondrous change. Change in the form of a man. A man named Jesus. We celebrate Jesus. God, who became man, who was crucified, dead, and buried. Raised from the dead on the third day, thereby conquering sin and death. Once. For all.
Just words? No. Real reconciliation with God for sinners, like you, me, her, him, us.
This is the message of change: He is risen.
This is the message of hope: you can be born again.

I heartily endorse this post by the Mrs.
At first I thought that the YouTube video featuring Keith Green's stirring rendition of The Easter Song is not quite classy enough for this blog. But upon further reflection, I remembered that the man who came not "to call the righteous but sinners to repentance" (Luke 5:32) and that among those called there "were not many wise according to the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble" (1 Cor. 1:26).
Praise be to God that salvation is not only for the hip, the fashionable, and the Apple users!
It is wonderful that this glorious song is being rediscovered. Your posting it here led us to sing it in our Easter meeting, with Annie on the piano. We also sang another oldie, "Because He Lives"-- marvelous words set to 70's gospel style music.
